Akshara Yojana
This Akshara project has a noble objective: to awaken the inherent abilities within children and to create good citizens by providing modern education along with excellent moral values
- At Sri Matha’s Sadguru Shri Nithyananda Vidyapeetha, integrated education (Panchanga Shikshana) is provided. This combines Indian artistic expertise, culture, life skills, and discipline (Sanskrit, Yoga, Ethics, Agriculture, Ramayana, Bhagavad Gita, Music, Dance) with modern (CBSE) education.
- Besides formal education, training is also given in organic farming, awareness of cow protection, music, Yakshagana (traditional theater), handicrafts, karate, etc.
- English medium education is being provided to students from rural areas at very low fees.
- Education is being provided in Kannada medium through the Navodaya aided lower primary school.
- Financial assistance and guidance are being provided for the education of financially disadvantaged students who have a desire to learn. Awareness is being created about the concept that the mother is the first God through programs like Matru Pujan (Mother Worship) and Matru Bhojan (Mother’s Meal).
