


Kalattur, October 5, 2025:
Under the divine guidance of Parama Poojya Sri Sri Yogananda Saraswathi Swamiji, a Free Eye Testing and Ayurveda Treatment Camp was successfully organized at Ichlampadi Hiriya Bunadi School, Kalattur, on October 5, 2025.
The camp was a joint initiative of Jagadguru Sri Nithyananda Mahapeetham Charitable Trust, Kondevoor, and Shiva Seva Vrunda, Kidur, in collaboration with OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation, Bengaluru, Prasad Netralaya Super Speciality Hospital, Mangalore, Dr. Dayananda Pai & P. Satish Pai Charitable Trust, and Sri Sharada Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Talapady, Mangalore.

The event commenced at 9:00 AM with an inaugural ceremony. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Krishnaprasad Koodlu, Medical Director, Prasad Netralaya, Mangalore, who emphasized the importance of early eye care and regular screening.
The programme was presided over by Sri Sadashiva Rai Megina Mane, President of Shiva Seva Vrunda, Kidur, who appreciated the Ashrama’s continuous service in the field of rural healthcare and community welfare.
Distinguished guests present on the occasion included Dr. Sandeep, Principal, Sri Sharada Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital; Sri P. R. Shetty, Trustee, Jagadguru Sri Nithyananda Mahapeetham Charitable Trust; Sri Balakrishna Acharya Puttige, Headmaster, Ichlampadi Hiriya Bunadi School; and Smt. Pushpalatha P. Shetty, Member, Kumbale Grama Panchayat. Their presence added grace and encouragement to the initiative.
The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from the people of Kalattur and nearby areas. The overall participation and benefits extended through various sections were as follows:

Cataract Diagnosed: 33 patients
Cataract Surgeries Planned: October 14th & 15th, 2025
Free Spectacles Distributed: 143 beneficiaries
